World of Outlaws at Salina Highbanks, I-55, and Tri State May 1-2-3

The Outlaws hit the heartland with a Fri/Sat/Sun triple header this weekend starting out in Oklahoma at Salina on Friday, moving onto I-55 in Misourri on Saturday and Indiana on Sunday. Daryn Pittman and Shane Stewart should feel quite at home in their native home state on Friday night and both will be vying for the win. In 2014, Joey Saldana took the win at Salina and he'll be looking to snag his first win Outlaw win of the season this weekend.

If World of Outlaws (PS2) taught us anything about I-55, it's to learn how to master momentum without smacking the wall and starting catastrophe! And also that at least one of the two races will be somewhat caution marred. 2014 was no exception as Sammy Swindell won the spring race in a quiet affair while Kerry Madsen took home the Ironman trophy in August in a race where tempers flared and carnage was everywhere.

Lucas Oil LM Series at Macon (IL) , Tri City (IL) and Paducah (KY) April 30-May 2

The Lucas boys are back in action following their one appearance last week at Roaring Knob where Don O'Neal reigned supreme. The tour is setup for a triple header this week starting at the quirky Macon Speedway (1/5 Mile) and then moving on to Tri City and Paducah on Friday and Saturday. Jonathan Davenport leads the points with Earl Pearson Jr and Don O'Neal right behind him as the tour regulars take on the likes of Shannon Babb, Bobby Pierce, Billy Moyer and some regional heavy hitters. One question coming into the weekend! Will Jimmy Owens need to be placed on a milk carton, or will he breakout with a pair of wins?

After a weekend off, the Outlaws return to the track this weekend with a pair of races in the Tar Heel State. It is named that because of the state's early roots as a world wide leader in tar production and also because of civil war folklore as can be found here

See there, you get much more than dirt racing when you visit this site!

Anyway, the Outlaws are up against some pretty tough company if the regional badasses are all present and accounted for. Jeff Smith, Rambo Franklin, and a host of others (maybe a Walker Arthur sighting!) will be looking to keep the cash in the area as Clanton, Lanigan, Richards and a surprisingly consistent Chub Frank come to play.
